The hotel was at least a 10 minute walk from the train station but was still very close to the rail tracks. At first sight that was a bit worrying but the soundproofing worked so well one could not hear the trains at all. It actually became an attraction to sit at the window and watch the trains coming and going. The beds, even the sofa bed, were very comfortable. The hotel is across the road from a small mall with good selection of restaurants. The Korean restaurant we tried the first night was great but it closes around 7. We tested the Japanese one specializing in Nagoya quisine, the next day when we dined later in evening which was great as well. It was pouring down both evenings so we were not tempted to venture very far. The hotel itself has various restaurants with interesting menus but they were a bit fancy for a family with children. There is also a Family Mart nearby if one wants to shop there instead of eating out.

Lovely front staff who kindly helped us forward our luggage to the next hotel. When I messaged them before hand someone had replied saying they can only do it if the next hotel accepted cash on delivery, but the counter staff was able to process the payment on acceptance of the luggage. It saved us a lot of trouble. There was a gorgeous view out the window down onto the hotel chapel and over at the railway. The double glazed windows ensured the room stayed quiet. The in-room laundry was great and was able to thoroughly dry our clothes with one cycle (although it did take 4 hours). The buffet breakfast was fantastic.

The place is located quite closed to Nagoya Station and Family Mart, with various restaurants around it. We actually went to the Takumi Teppanyaki at the hotel, which was superb. I love the washing/drying machine provided in my room. It's so quiet, I could run it through the night while I' was asleep. All staff have been very friendly and helpful. They've organised our suitcase to be sent to our next hotel in another city. They even managed to find and keep my earbud that I left in my room after checking out.

Hotel is in a really nice building. Reception is located in a 4th floor, rooms - higher up. Entrance hall with the restaurant and facilities for weddings looks very cosy and beautiful. Our room was clean, quite big if compared with other hotels where we stayed in Japan. Breakfast was luxury, a lot of things to pick from - both local food and western dishes. Free shuttle bus service to the train station was offered. Good WiFi connection.

the lobby captivates me because it's DELIGHTFULLY charming . love the chicness of the couches , sofas ,chairs and the elegance of all the chandeliers. my favorite place in this hotel is the LOUNGE that's why we're a regular guests for 3 nights the BEAUTY of the "CATHERDRAL" was beyond words. That moment i realized the reasons why my DAUGHTER wants to get married at THE STRINGS HOTEL 🩶🤍🖤🧡💚
